Who We Are
With roots dating back to 1985 directly on the manufacturing floor, BKM Tekstil began its corporate journey in 2003 with the establishment of its first workshop in İzmir. Today, we operate from our modern five-story factory in İzmir, Türkiye. For over a decade, we have primarily dedicated our production capacity to exports while consistently supplying the demands of the domestic market.
In addition to our core expertise in men's shirts, we also manufacture tuxedo/formal shirts and overshirts (shirt-jackets). The manufacturing and wholesale operations of our registered brand, Mastino Camicie, are also conducted within the same facility.
Our Production Structure & Quality Standards
Our production planning is flexibly organized each month around the orders of various brands. Rather than operating monotonous lines dedicated to a single style for months, we utilize a dynamic infrastructure where style changeovers are routine. Consequently, small-batch runs and specialized garments requiring advanced craftsmanship are an integral part of our standard workflow.
Raw material integrity and process discipline are fundamental to our operations:
- Raw Material Sourcing
- We do not manufacture fabrics or interlinings. Fabric sourcing can be arranged collaboratively using the extensive swatch libraries in our office, or supplied directly by the client.
- In-House Operations
- Pattern making, spreading, cutting, and stitching processes are executed entirely in-house within our factory, without subcontracting.
- Quality Assurance
- We measure and guarantee our quality standards not merely against the initial prototype, but by strictly upholding the exact same precision down to the very last piece of the production batch.
How We Work
The processes we execute with our partners are built on mutual clarity and manufacturing discipline. Alongside our standard workflow, we initiate projects through two primary models adaptable to each brand’s specific operational requirements:
-
Project Scoping and Selection Phase
- Showroom Visit and Collection Development
- We kick off the process by meeting with our clients in our factory showroom and design office. Leveraging our extensive fabric and trim archives, we collaboratively determine fabric qualities, silhouette and pattern profiles, button selections, interlinings, and branding details.
- Client-Provided Tech Packs and Specifications
- For partners who provide their own fabrics, patterns, or finalized tech packs, we conduct a rigorous technical evaluation against the requested standards and finalize the manufacturing schedule within a structured framework.
-
Technical Detailing and Prototyping
Once batch quantities, size breakdowns, and delivery timelines are solidified, a pre-production approval sample (prototype) is constructed prior to mass production. Mass manufacturing does not commence until fit precision, stitching quality, and material integration are fully signed off by our partner.
-
Mass Production and In-Process Quality Control
All specifications of the approved prototype serve as the unalterable production standard. From pattern drafting and fabric spreading to cutting, assembly, pressing, and final packaging, the entire operation is completed strictly within our own facility, adhering fully to the agreed delivery schedule.
If you have a shirt you need made, start with a sample or a technical drawing. We will come back with the specification and the lead time.
